OUR STORY
Custom Awards and Embroidery is a second-generation family business in Urbandale, IA. The business started when faced with a layoff in 1984 as a Human Resources Manager, Jim Nemecek bought a fledgling engraving business. It soon became a family business as Mr. Nemecek's daughter began to work in his shop after school and during summer breaks. Mr. Nemecek acquired three other local engraving and embroidery businesses within a few years of operation. The business remained a family affair when Jim's daughter, Jamie Haynes, took over in 1997 with her husband, Jeff Haynes. They always stood by and continue to stand by the principles of offering quality services and products at a fair price. We specialize in embroidery, screen printing, and laser engraving. Their motto is "Recognizing Success is Good Business".
